New Ｍoon or full Ｍoon
Which is most fun?
It can’t be the former
Since that’s when there’s none!

Or if it’s a crescent
A croissant of light
Don’t eat it for breakfast
Enjoy it at night!

And when the Ｍoon’s convex
Give us the Ｍoon!
I only say that when it’s
Gibbous the Ｍoon!

If a forest of candles
Could cover its face
The blaze would be splendid
Though waxing apace!

My dear friend the Ｍoon
Whether waxing or waning
Whatever your phase is
I won’t be complaining!
