What are those odd bumps on the Moon?
Maybe a cow, maybe a cat?
Maybe a rabbit or racoon ―
I wonder why I think of that

You may say cheese but I say soap
Abandoned on a bathroom tile
A round white Moon with craters small
and slowly waning all the while

But buttons are a better bet
All six of them beneath my tie
They're pearly and attached with thread
like Moons stitched firmly to the sky

And how about a bowl of cream?
so smooth, luxurious and thick
Well that's the Moon for me because
I want to give the bowl a lick

And what about an ostrich egg?
Ridiculous! An egg's not round
But looking from the top you'll see
as true a Moon as any found
