Geometrical Moon
If you could choose the Moon anew
A floating pyramid would be
a tetrahedral treat indeed
A pharaohfs flight of fantasy
Some might prefer a cubic Moon
That tumbles over as it flies
With faces marked from one to six
No need for dice — just raise your eyes
What would an octahedral Moon
with rainbow faces have of worth?
Would dress at dinner parties need
to match the colours facing Earth?
Dodecahedral Moon would be
pentagonal pleasure to be sure
A dozen faces to admire
at night. The perfect loversflure.
And therefs icosahedral Moon
With triangles for everyone
But as for me I choose a sphere
Thatfs after all what gravityfs done
