. Love on Enceladus

Love on Enceladus

Reached Saturnfs moon Enceladus
on honeymoon, in time for tea
on icy rifts called tiger stripes
Then on to find a buried sea

We go to where the water spouts
in briny plumes into the night
It climbs on up and up and up
A ghostly mist, then lost from sight

Wefre poised beside the gurgling rent
Our scuba space suits on and sealed
All systems checked, all systems go
Not knowing what this quest will yield

Then in we jump, and jet-propelled
we swim on down with lamps ablaze
The great crevasse is gleaming blue
and branching like an eerie maze

Descent through subterranean sea
With scalding vents to warm our legs
But now wefre here, what shall we do?
Just sit and hug and boil two eggs
